We have big plans to amplify the environment of Week of Hope by creating fun traditions and a more engaging “summer camp” experience through themed days, movie nights, a lip sync battle, bedtime stories, group games, and much more.
The intimate summer camp environment will be experienced by sharing meals together, serving alongside one another, and enjoying the fun and laughter of other camp activities. By the end of the week, it really feels like you’re a part one big family.
Meal times are family times – a time to settle in with the people around you and a time to enjoy conversation, laughter, and each other. Tables will be set when you enter the cafeteria. After an opening prayer, each table will be dismissed one-by-one to go through the dinner line. Fun music will set the mood and keep the energy high. Throughout the meal, we’re adding engaging elements to create a fun, lively, and interactive setting! We will share announcements and God-sightings from the day, and even have fun activities and games.
Our program time in the evening will become an intimate chapel setting. By creating space for meaningful and life-changing encounters with Jesus and fellowship with one another, we hope to create a more focused and intentional time for spiritual growth. This evening chapel program is shorter and includes uplifting, interactive teaching and discovery. We plan to engage in meaningful forms of worship that goes beyond singing, such as skits, videos and more.
