Projects

As your participants enter into the lives of others and build relationships with the people of Cincinnati, they’ll experience God working through them at projects such as:

  • Assist a feeding ministry that serves over 8000 meals to kids across Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati daily. You will be helping prepare food for kids as well as interacting with these kids in games and arts and crafts.
  • Help with day-to-day needs of a Christian camp including helping in the kitchen with meal service, cleaning, filling water coolers, painting and landscaping.
  • Brighten a senior's day at the elderly center! You'll be visiting, doing yard work, window washing, planting flowers, leading sing-a-longs and exercises and doing some light painting.
  • Teach inner city girls dance! Mentor these girls through dance, no experience needed-you'll get lessons.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of a youth program for ages 6-13, including creative arts, physical education, education, devotions and lunch.
  • Bring lunch to a park for children that have been identified as living in poverty. You'll also have the opportunity to read and do other activities with these children.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of a youth program for ages 6-13, including creative arts, physical education, education, devotions and lunch.

Our Partner

We have a Local Coordinator there that maintains connections throughout the year with the organizations that we serve so that our service and relationships are sustainable. You may meet them during your week as they pop in and out.

Project Crews

Participants are split up on six-person project crews for the work portion each day. In most cases, this is one adult and five youth, each person from a different church. In our experience, when groups allow us to mix participants up to make crews, individuals develop social and leadership skills, make new friends, and develop a closer bond with the people they are serving and their own youth group. If you have questions about this process or have specific requests, please give us a call. If needed, we can keep your group together, but still on crews of 6 people. (Due to age, participants at our preteen camps are kept together as a group, but still on crews of 6 people.)
